Relevium Pain Specialists is a leading, scaling pain management practice with four locations in Las Vegas and one in Reno. We are seeking a compassionate, empathetic, and skilled Mental Health Professional - Clinical Psychologist/Masters Level Therapist, to join our growing Reno team. The Mental Health Professional provides behavioral health services that support and enhance interventional pain treatment within our multidisciplinary pain management clinic. This role focuses on evaluating psychological contributors to pain, delivering evidence-based therapies, supporting coping and functional improvement, and collaborating closely with physicians, APPs, and care teams. The clinician will help patients manage chronic pain through behavioral strategies, trauma-informed care, and supportive mental health interventions.

Psychologist Job Responsibilities:

  • Administers psychological tests and determines results.
  • Talks to individuals and fosters their positive mental health and personal growth.
  • Develops treatment plans.
  • Provides therapy with individual sessions (generally 45- 60 minute sessions)
  • Forensic: Works with law enforcement officials and acts as experts in various legal cases, assesses competency, works with witnesses, and performs psychological evaluations.
  • Clinical: Works to prevent, diagnose and treat mental disorders, and works with physicians to determine the best course of treatment for patients.

Psychologist Qualifications/Skills:

  • Knowledge of psychological theory and practice
  • Superior communication skills
  • Ability to empathize with a wide range of people
  • Listening skills
  • Spanish Speaking is a plus 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • PhD or PsyD 
  • LCPC, LCSW, MFT
  • Active Nevada State licensure
  • Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based psychotherapy.
  • Experience working with chronic pain populations, trauma, behavioral health conditions, or complex medical patients.
  • Strong diagnostic, procedural, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Strong comprehension of HIPAA. 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
